Working to ease the suffering of sentient beings, to improve the situation on the planet, is the only way to happiness, contentment, and peace.
– His Holiness the Dalai Lama

Hello, and Welcome.

The quote from the Dali Lama is from a day-by-day calendar of spiritual wisdom that sat on my desk in corporate America. It was a reminder that I had a different world waiting for me.

My journey into the world of Shamanism began in 2004. Carla Meeske, who would soon become my teacher, created a video on how to journey into non-ordinary reality, which is the foundation of the shamanic path. I watched the video and did my first shamanic journey. My heart burst open. I had this incredible feeling of deep love, peace and connectedness to all that is. I sobbed uncontrollably as I sat with my spirit animal guide witnessing the sacredness of a sunset in my journey.

This experience awakened a deep truth within me. The Shamanic path is one I have walked before. I was being called home.

In 2007, cancer came calling. I denied treatment. I journeyed for wisdom and kept hearing “Nepal…Santa Fe…” I finally looked up Sandra Ingerman in Santa Fe and discovered she was hosting Nepalese Shaman, Bhola Banstola. The training was full, yet I booked an airline ticket and showed up at the training. I was admitted as someone cancelled at the last minute. To this day, I thank my guides and the wisdom and healing that occurred at that event. I am cancer free.

My shamanic training includes courses with the Foundation of Shamanic Studies, Bhola Banstola, Sandra Ingerman, as well as with many other teachers over the years. I remain in touch with Carla.

I reside in beautiful Door County, WI with my husband and three cats. I have randomly placed flower gardens full of native species that look pretty good most of the time.

I still have the Dali Lama quote from Thursday, February 3, 1997. It sits in a beautiful frame on my desk. It is a reminder of my path which is woven with love, wisdom and beauty. Just like a tapestry.

What is Shamanism?

The Shamanic tradition is one of the oldest spiritual practices and can be traced back at least 50,000 years.

The word ‘Shaman’ comes from the Tungist tribe in Siberia and translates as ‘one who sees in the dark’ or ‘healer’.

Rather than a belief system, it is a way of gaining knowledge and integrating parts of our life force that we have lost touch with allowing us to regain our natural power.

The Shamanic Way is to tread lightly on the Earth – honor and be grateful for everything around and within us as everything is alive and has a spirit.

What is a Shamanic Journey?

Also known as a ‘soul flight’, I intentionally shift my consciousness through drumming or rattling to enter ‘non-ordinary reality’ to gain insight, wisdom and healing from compassionate loving spirits on behalf of my clients.

A journey for a client may be done in person or over the telephone. The journey takes place ‘out of space and time’ so it is not necessary to meet in person.

For a journey where we are not physically present, the client receives a written description of what transpired during the journey.

How may I be of service to you?
